John Gambaro & Donny Gambaro

The Gambaro origins in Australia date back over 60 years.
The very first Gambaro establishment opened in Brisbane on Caxton Street in 1953, by the late Giovanbaptista Gambaro after he moved to Australia from his hometown in Italy.
From this time, and for more than three generations, Gambaro have pioneered Brisbane’s hospitality industry.
For decades, Gambaro has won industry accolades and continues to honour its fundamental purpose to provide its guests with the best customer service experience possible.
From humble beginnings as a single fish and chip shop, to developing a successful seafood empire, Gambaro have always focused on offering guests a five-star hospitality experience.
This tradition continues with the opening of Gambaro Hotel, Brisbane in 2014.
Gambaro Group own and manage a portfolio of accommodation, restaurants, bars, events and function venues, with a vision to become one of Australia’s most progressive and successful independent hospitality groups.
Established as a family-owned business, the Gambaro Group continues to be owned and operated by members of the Gambaro family.
